In 2015, the Physician Holding Company (PHC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Michigan State Medical Society, acquired the remaining half of Professional Credential Verification Service, Inc (PCVS) from The Doctors Company. PCVS is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of PHC. As a result, PCVS’s location will transition to 1305 Abbot Road, Suite 106, East Lansing, MI 48823 by the late summer/early fall of 2016. Kevin M. McFatridge will become the chief executive officer of PCVS as of August 1, 2016; Medical Advantage Group’s management of PCVS will end as of July 31, 2016. The PHC Board of Directors will become the Board of Directors for PCVS.
PCVS now has more than 100 active clients and has credentialed more than 82,000 providers. The turn around time for our National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) clients averages 22 days.
PCVS continues to review enhancements within Cactus. All current clients have iObserver access and are able to check the status of their applications at any time. PCVS.net provides a link to iObserver for client convenience.
PCVS is about to begin its reaccreditation process with NCQA. The desktop application is due in February, 2017 with onsite review scheduled for late spring.
